Adding a card

In the console, “Add a card” opens Stripe’s checkout. The account gets a usage-based subscription: no fixed amount, two meters — one per route — and an invoice the same day each month for what was called.

Once the card is on file, every call is reported to Stripe the moment it answers. The free calls stay free.

The bill

The console shows the current month: calls per route, what they are worth, and the date of the next invoice. “Manage at Stripe” opens the portal — the card, past invoices, cancellation.

Cancelling

Cancelling in the portal closes the subscription at the end of the cycle. Keys keep answering while the month’s free calls last, then the API answers 402. Keys are not revoked; add a card and they resume.

A payment that fails

Stripe retries for a few days. Meanwhile the console says “a payment did not go through” and calls continue. If the card is not updated, the subscription closes and the API answers 402 past the free calls.

Taxes and currency

Everything is in Canadian dollars. Taxes follow the address Stripe holds; they appear on the invoice, not in the prices on this page.
